CurrentFounded and led by Nidhi Sethi, Behind The Smiles is a dynamic platform and community dedicated to supporting neurodivergent individuals and their networks. This self-built website, crafted using Wix and enhanced with Canva-designed resources, offers a wealth of personal experiences, blog posts, and educational materials. It serves as a safe, non-judgmental space for learning and growth, empowering individuals to build confidence and understand their neurodivergent identities.Through Behind The Smiles, Nidhi has spearheaded several impactful initiatives:2024: Collaborated on an international webinar discussing the transition to university life as a neurodivergent individual.2023: Served as a guest speaker at Insights Psychology DMCC, addressing Autism Support Groups and Parent Groups.2023: Led an international webinar on Neurodiversity, attracting over 400 attendees aged 11-60.2023: Delivered a keynote speech at Jebel Ali School, educating Years 7-10 students on the importance of neurodiversity and inclusion.2022: Conducted a webinar for Dubai College staff focused on promoting neuroinclusivity in educational environments.2022: Contributed an article to the National Autistic Society's 60th Anniversary Magazine, sharing insights on the topic of masking.In recognition of these efforts, Nidhi was nominated for the Oliver Hare Altruism Award (2024) by University College London, acknowledging her significant contributions to the community through Behind The Smiles.
