Operations Turnarounds Area Leader for Phillips 66 Humber Refinery.Contact for Humber Refinery for Operational issues for all T/A's including Chemical Cleans, Nitrogen, tankage, contracts, etc.

This position had numerous duties with extensive responsibilities some of which are listed: preparing, issuing and authorising permits as well as controlling and running the plant including day to day staffing issues.This area has several large operating units including; gas plants, heavy & light hydrocarbon plants and power production amongst others. Other duties involve monitoring the rotating equipment and numerous other large pieces of equipment to ensure the unit is operating at maximum capacity. I also prepare the plant for maintenance using the “Permit to Work” system, as well as various other checks and routines required by a refinery with a large output. I have also been a member of the Emergency Response Team, having trained at a large facility in the United States. I am a Team Leader of the Safety Team within my business unit, and have a Distinction qualification in Nebosh Health and Safety. I am also a member of the refinery Permit to Work steering committee and have recently been tasked along with one other, with re-writing the Permit manual in full to ensure HSE compliance and ease of use. This was successfully rolled out in May 17.Since this rollout I have been put on a team which will be implementing an electronic permit to work system.

Process Technician on the FCC / Alkylation units area with a large daily throughput of 60000bspd.Dealing with all aspects including permit authorising , staffing , monitoring plant , safety audits , behavioural based safety , planning shutdown work scopes , and numerous more tasks.

Authorising permits, preparing the plant, fault finding, keeping production targets to schedule, taking responsibility for day to day running of a large chemical plant including several personnel, control room operating on the Kent system. I also held the position of Fire Team Leader, having trained with Humberside Fire Brigade and in-house too. My roles in this included: taking control during incidents, liaising with Fire Brigade if required, and the training of team members.
