Designed and Architected a new scalable, modular solution utilising a service bus implementation using a pub/sub model for modular communication. Provided secure communication to an internal front end web app and external associate clients via WCF. This solution will scale with VroomroomVroom’s future international business aspirations. Assisted in maintenance of their existing VB.net system. Implemented Test Driven Development and Agile Development methodologies within the development team. Mentored both junior developers and less experienced senior developers in modern programming techniques and how to meet modern development performance criteria.

Fortitude Valley

Developed solutions for a multitude of external and internal clients. Was instrumental in the adoption of Agile development methodologies within the company. Drove the adoption of responsive design using Twitter Bootstrapper to allow seamless browsing across all mobile, tablet and desktop platforms. Drove the adoption of Continuous Integration methodologies within the company using the Jenkins Platform to drive and monitor automated build and test scripts.

Ported the client from a small scale mid-level system to a fully scalable enterprise level solution managed on load balanced web-servers and well managed mirrored, SQL servers with hardware failover, full scheduled backups, and transactional replication to support reporting and scheduled maintenance. Implemented AJAX driven interaction throughout the entire client site.

I demonstrated repeatedly the ability to effectively manage staff in a friendly and effective manner. Whilst with GlobalX I assisted in the Implementation and improvement of a Continuous Integration system to track and manage in-house software deployments and ensure continual code quality through unit testing and Microsoft best practices comparisons. I was a critical member of the GlobalX Software Process Development Team and as such was responsible for many of the improved development processes in use within the development team. I was also responsible for the majority of the administration of the Polarion ALM system in use within GlobalX.

Pay-By-Phone systems integration, Secure credit card vault for PCI compliance, BPAY integration, Instant invoicing for specific SaaS products, Accounting package integration. Pro-rata account adjustment interfaces. Credit card refund systems and interfaces, reporting and analysis interfaces.

Andorra

Developed and marketed multilingual commercial Real Estate and Auto Sales software utilizing a complete office and product management application linked to customised dynamic web sites.

Rockhampton, Brisbane

Developed a complete and accurate model of the entire Queensland Rail Network including every piece of rail infrastructure, rollingstock and scheduled services. The model was accurate to within 3% of actual events. Designed and developed the initial “Train Planning and Scheduling Tools” for the Blackwater/Moura Coal network. The application consisted of multiple front-end clients and SQL Server database back-end. This product won the Queensland Government Information Technology and Telecommunications Award in 1997.
