-Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction funded study, in partnership with the Department of Justice-Conducted extensive sociolegal and policy focused research on a project exploring the impact of cannabis legalization on youth contact with the criminal justice system -Contributed to project literature review by analyzing and summarizing relevant research articles and reports -Organized, cleaned and calculated Census and StatsCan data presented in spreadsheet format -Assisted in liaising between multiple criminal justice agencies across Canada and preparing documents to request data -Synthesized cannabis legislation, offences, penalties, and Uniform Crime Reporting codes into a comprehensive document for review

-Conducted outreach over the phone to donors across Canada to create sustainable fundraising for Institute-Built rapport with past donors, identifying their values and connecting them to the goals of the Institute-Used access to confidential database to problem solve donation and donor profile discrepancies-Led weekly team meetings providing fundraisers with goals and direction of campaigns, skills for successful outreach, and updates on executive decisions-Supported evaluation and improvement of outreach strategies to meet individual and team performance targets-Discussed priorities with donors for feedback on policy issues, which impacts the strategy and vision of the Institute-Valued donors’ perspectives and issues while problem solving by crafting a story to connect our vision with theirs-Provided updates to donors on the Institute’s engagement opportunities and research projects-Tracked and recorded all conversations and donations, providing feedback and efficiently responding to inquiries from donors

I held this position from May 2018 to August 2018, as well. Cumulatively, my responsibilities included: -Compiled research and conducted analysis on practices and procedures related to emergency management by various provincial ministries-Drafted a review and summary of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act and Order in Council responsibilities; Produced a comparative analysis of Emergency Management practices, which included two case studies; Provided policy options and recommendations to management-Monitored and tracked various social emergencies, including forest fires and suicides of Indigenous youth. This included assisting in the triage of resources and support via teleconference -Analyzed economic, fiscal, and social statistics from data collected on Ontario First Nations to support the design of programming for Indigenous youth and their communities

-Graded and provided feedback on students’ assignments throughout the semester for a third-year course on law and regulation-Assisted in drafting the outline and explanation for an assignment-Responded to student queries during office hours-Assisted professor in supporting students to achieve the objectives of the course through guidance and advice

-Provided ongoing support and resources as the first contact for students living in residence-Effectively responded to crisis situations by using conflict resolution strategies -Discussed the Residence Standards with students and documented any violations of said Standards-Completed regularly scheduled on-call shifts throughout the academic year-Completed administrative tasks such as bi-weekly logs, roommate agreements, and student forms-Acted as a student-staff representative for a year-long Peer Review Committee on Residence Curriculum-Represented Carleton University Residence Life Services at the Ontario Universities Fair-Reviewed Carleton Residence’s student conduct curriculum as a member of a focus group-Additional leadership responsibilities as a returning staff member, including leading team meetings, creating on-call schedule, and performing one-on-one meetings with new staff

-Conducted research and prepared jurisdictional scans for various areas of consumer policy, including warranties for new home purchases and real estate industry practices-Supported the planning and management of a seven-week stakeholder working group. Attendees included business developers and executives, consumer advocates, and corporate lawyers

I worked for the Ontario Clean Water Agency from May 2015 to August 2015 as well. Between those two four-month periods, my responsibilities included:-Collaborated to develop a group project on social media marketing and presenting it to the Executive Management Team -Collated and finalized thousands of pages of government procurement files for archiving-Collated hundreds of pages of procurement documents for contracts being submitted for approval
