I have 29 years of experience in the Luxury Hospitality Industry, including 25 years in the role of General Manager. I was instrumental in driving Cape Grace's success for 6 years, which had led to the hotel receiving numerous accolades over the years, including the following recent ones :(US) Travel & Leisure 2011 - Best Hotel in Africa and the Middle East(US) Celebrated Living 2011 - Best Hotel in Africa(UK) Daily Telegraph Ultra Travel Awards 2011 - Best Hotel in AfricaAfter Cape Grace, I took on a short-term contract as General Manager at Singita Kruger National Park. In 2012, the property was rated as number 7 in the world by Travel+Leisure.In 2011, Luxury Travel Advisor recognised me as the Best General Manager for a luxury hotel/resort worldwide.After spending some time in the Maldives, I returned to Cape Town to open my own business - The Stack - a brasserie, bar and private members' club in the heart of the city. Due to Covid and the long lockdown, we were forced to close the business in July 2020. Since September 2020, I have been Head of Hospitality at Tswalu, South Africa's largest private game reserve, where I have been tasked with providing the highest levels of service and memorable experiences to guests at the property's three camps. I hold a European Union passport and I am a South African Permanent Resident. I am fluent in English, Italian and Maltese.
