Nigel Daly OBE is President of industry trade magazine Screen International and online news service SCREENDAILY.COM. Based in Los Angeles since 2003 he has used his vast network of contacts to help forge strong relationships in the international film and TV industry.Responsible for the commercial growth and brand strategy of SCREEN INTERNATIONAL in Hollywood he has helped build the business into a global success and one of the most powerful international film industry trades. He was voted Chairman of The British Academy of Film and Television Arts, Los Angeles in 2014. As Chairman of BAFTA LA he was in charge of overseeing the academy’s mission in Los Angeles. He works both with independent filmmakers and studios. His deep knowledge of all aspects of film production and the awards season has made him an invaluable source of knowledge on how to navigate the film and TV industry.As CEO and Chairman of The Laboratory Arts Collective he searches the world for the diverse and exceptional and through multi collaborations his aim is to bring original experiences to curious minds. He publishes a collectible bi annual magazine, makes films and stages events that explores the work of established and emerging artists from around the globe, as well as cultural czars, designers, filmmakers, creators, free thinkers, rebellious spirits and pioneers in culture. He continually strives to build relationships within the global cultural community . He joined the Board of BRITWEEK in 2013 – the Los Angeles-based organization delivers an annual program of British cultural events in California and has been operating for over a decade. In January 2020 he became Chairman of the Board of Directors. In October 2018 he joined the board of advisors of Mythical Games, a game company focused on building player-owned economies with top game developers and publishers in addition to own own portfolio of games (first game: Blankos.com).He also assists in raising the profile of many charities and non-political organizations. In November 2014 Nigel Patrick Daly was honoured by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. (OBE).
