Single-authored titles include 'Lives in Crisis: The Civil Rights Movement' and 'Ideas of the Modern World: Communism' (both Hodder).Publishers I have worked for as a writer and editor include DK (a division of PRH), Quercus, Virgin Books, Quarto, Franklin Watts, Grolier, Batsford, Toucan and Marshall Editions.As a French to English translator and copy-editor, clients have included the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), the Danish National School of Performing Arts, SDI Media Group, Cybione, Mindscape and Elle magazine. My translation of Jean-Paul Sartre's 'Morts sans sépulture'​ ('The Living Dead') was highly commended by The Gate theatre in 2002.

Helped to develop various programme ideas, such as 'Bombed' for Seneca Productions, and 'China's green car revolution' and 'How green is your home?' for Films of Record.

I helped to devise and implement the social media and marketing strategy for Portal's immersive entertainment iPad app, 'The Craftsman' (November 2013), a real-time, 5-day thriller. Expertise includes SEO, metadata (Rovi) and SMM (Sysomos Heartbeat). Other duties included helping to develop and test an interactive horror/thriller 'ThrillMe' discovery service (www.thrillmenow.com), and fostering associated partnerships with Samsung, Lions Gate and Hammer Films.
