Pride Life is a premier and intelligent LGBTQ+ lifestyle magazine and website uniquely with no salacious content. We are distributed throughout the UK to LGBTQ+ and LGBTQ+-friendly venues and businesses, as well as to selected charities and governmental diversity groups. We are also available in the first-class and business-class lounges of several UK airports.I organise, commission and write engaging content for the high-spending ABC1 LGBTQ+ market in the UK, consistently keeping a balance between issue-led pieces, lifestyle stories, cultural content and showbiz features. I also contribute travel and lifestyle articles to the magazine. I monitor the permanent and also changing trends of the LGBTQ+ "scene" to ensure that our content is always relevant to our discerning readership.I liaise closely with our sales team, identifying sources of lucrative advertising from blue-chip companies. I also work closely with advertisers, advising on advertorial content and tone.I have also edited two editions of the official guide to the Pride in London event which annually draws in up to a million visitors to London and is the third largest open-air event in the capital.I maintain one-on-one contact with our distributors and printers, overseeing and organising the publication process from start to finish, and keep in contact with the many Pride events both in the UK and abroad.I have also recently edited the official WorldPride guide for Copenhagen,2021's biggest LGBTQ+ celebration in the world.

I am the author of over 70 published novels, non-fiction books, and TV/ movie tie-ins, mainly for the Young Adult and genre market (please see attached list). My work has been published by Penguin Puffin, Hodder, Virgin, Bantam, Scholastic and Boxtree among others, and has been translated into French, German, Spanish and Finnish.I am the script-writer of BBC-licensed audio books for Big Finish productions, based on the popular Doctor Who franchise, and have also adapted for audio scripts based on the Doctor Who franchise and licensed by the BBC.I have also edited and copy-edited manuscripts and checked proofs, both fiction and non-fiction, for a variety of British book publishers

I pro-actively sourced, researched and wrote content for the Pride Life magazine and the website, including filing twenty-plus news stories each week online. I made full use of strong organisational skills to keep and maintain an up-to-date list in MS Access of gay Pride events in the UK and worldwide and liaised with their organisers I maintained the Pride Life website using a customised Content Manager System, as well as Dreamweaver, and processed images with Photoshop. I built relationships and liaised with print and online advertisers, government diversity groups, media partners, and sales executives, and helped to organise organise publicity events to promote the Pride Life brandI have also worked on a freelance basis for other gay publications including Boyz, the Pink Paper, bona, and Gay Times

I was the Litigation Support Manager of Denton Wilde Sapte/ SNR Denton, now Dentons, the world's largest law firm. I provided practical and organisational support to lawyers and partners in the preparation and conduct of high-profile multi-million dollar litigation cases.I also provided pro-active technical support to lawyers and partners using various eDiscovery software programs including custom litigation support packages.I also hired, managed and trained teams of paralegals, from individual workers to teams of twenty. I liaised with service providers and worked alongside lawyers to get best commercial dealsI also made regular presentations to trainees and practising solicitors and partners.

I was a freelance consultant editor to Bantam books in the UK, evaluating manuscripts for publication, negotiating contracts with agents, authors and illustrators, assessing costs and budgets, and making regular presentations to sales staff.

I was responsible for commissioning and editing book titles in all genres (both fiction and non-fiction), and for all ages, and especially the best-selling range of Doctor Who books. I negotiated contracts with agents, authors and illustrators, and created cover and advertising copy for books.I also organised promotional activities - including taking Daleks to Edinburgh and Birmingham - and made regular presentations to sales staff.
