Dr. Nigel Spier is an OB/Gyn who has been practicing in South Florida since 1995. Over the years he has served as past President of the Broward County Medical Association, Past Chief of OB/Gyn at Memorial Regional Hospital and is currently Chief of the Medical Staff. Dr. Spier also serves in leadership roles in various other organizations in healthcare dealing with healthcare quality, finance and clinically integrated network contracting. He has served as a strong advocate for healthcare reform, has conducted several TV interviews and has had many published opinion pieces in the Sun-Sentinel and online publications such as KevinMD. As an early adopter of EHR and HIT since 2003, his practice was featured as a “Success in Business” profile for Apple Computer. He has served as a consultant and helped develop workflows and templates, working with several EMR vendors over the years and was a key presenter on a system for implementing templates and workflows at a major industry trade show. He most recently accepted a position as Team Lead for ModMed OB GYN in February 2022, helping develop specialty specific, adaptive technology solutions for OB GYN's, and has since become one of the Medical Directors for ModMed OB/GYN.Dr. Spier is also currently President of The HEALiXX Group, a group of independently practicing physicians with a focus on delivering value based care, through data driven and technology based healthcare solutions.
