I came to the UK in 2017 with no experience in healthcare. However, my desire to learn and make something of myself pushed me out of my comfort zone. Despite having worked previously as a sound engineer and music producer, I turned to healthcare in search of a more emotionally fulfilling career. My journey to become a Mental Health Nurse has been quite remarkable, and it could potentially be a bestseller novel that I might write when I retire. As of 2023, I am a Clinical Team Leader and feel confident in my abilities, which I didn't possess when I first started. I am a man on a mission, and my goal is to bring change at the highest level of my capabilities. However, I am not done yet, and I am still determined to achieve more.Throughout this journey, I have learned two things that have contributed enormously to my leadership style. Firstly, "live simply so that others can simply live." This principle has helped not only patients but also the staff that I have been responsible for. Secondly, "difficult does not mean impossible." With this mindset, anyone can be unstoppable! One just needs to put in the work and watch the magic happen.
