The Microsoft Design & Integration Solutions Engineer (Managed Services) role requires high level documentation to be translated into a more detailed design, highlighting best practice and standards to be followed during the implementation phase. During this stage, any design issues or problems are investigated and resolved by myself. This role also requires hand on involvement in the deployment of projects, therefore keeping technical ability to a high level.This role also deals with the testing, benchmarking and take-on of new technologies that emerge on the market before customer deployment can occur

The role of Solutions Engineer entailed taking high level designs and implementing the solution using a variety of Microsoft technologies. These ranged from Active Directory to TMG 2010, Exchange 2010 to Citrix Xenapp 6. Exposure to Cisco UCS, VMware and enterprise level backup solution technologies was also possible

The position of Network and Systems Manager entailed the design, implementation and support of both server and networking equipment. This also included end user systems. Mainly working with Dell technologies users were provided with a very stable and versatile IT infrastructure to work with. Achievements:* Designed and implemented a new office back end infrastructure and helped co-ordinate the relocation of staff. * Introduced high availability solutions to core and edge network infrastructure

This role contained a mixture of End user support, dealing with PC, printer and other IT issues up to Server and networking administration. Application support for AD, Exchange, SQL and ISA was also required. Achievements:* Upgrade of Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 to Windows Server 2003.
