During this time, he became responsible for the commercial management of major infrastructure projects and developed a keen interest in effective procurement strategies, open book contract management and is a dispute resolution specialist (Nigel is a Chartered Arbitrator). Nigel joined Stradia (formerly a Group company of James R Knowles (Worldwide) Ltd in the late 80s with an MBA and a passion for improving business processes and procurement in the construction industry. He has advised and provided support and guidance to many large public and private sector organisations in the field of partnering, procurement and performance management, and has also provided assistance to organisations throughout Scandinavia and Europe for over twenty years. The approach Nigel adopts is that all organisations are capable of achieving tough targets and he finds that working with management teams to develop practical performance improvement strategies that deliver results is very rewarding.
