I have been advising owner managed businesses for a number of years both as a Manager at McBrides in the 1990s but also as a Partner in that firm since 1998.I was one of the vendor Partners when we sold McBrides to Vantis Plc in 2004 only to see ourselves repurchase the entity in June 2010 as a part of a management buy out team.In the intervening period I was a Director on the Board of Vantis Corporate Finance Ltd from July 2007 to June 2010.I advise a portfolio of clients on all aspects of running a business but my speciality is assisting clients in the disposal of their business either through a trade sale, management buy out or to family members or indeed assisting them in the acquistion of other businesses. Succession planning is key to all owner managed businesses. It gives me huge satisfaction in seeing the fruits of a clients labour rewarded in their ultimate exit from the business.Specialties: I attended a seminar 2 years ago at which Rene Caryol ( money matters on TV ) spoke.
