I was responsible for the design and engineering work in the central areas of the ExtJS framework. My main area of specialization were the Grid and Tree components and their associated data structures.I advanced the ExtJS grid from version 4 onwards introducing buffered rendering of extremely large data sets - a capability which has been significantly refactored and enhanced in recent releases.I introduced the capability for the Grid to contain complex componentry within cells and rows that could be bound to data in a ViewModel for dynamic, two way data flow.I enhanced the data management package to allow incremental loading of extremely large datasets as pages that were requested just in time as the UI demanded the data, and would be cached only while required.As part of the core framework team, I participated in every part of the framework. I wrote in-code documentation for the API documentation generator, wrote guides, and provided technical backup to the support team and the services team.

I helped to enhance the web UI to the Forward Computers' legacy application, adding Ajax technology.I am the primary architect behind the new generation, Java-based, RIA web app using ExtJs as the UI library, which will become the company's primary product.
