RESEARCH ACCOMPLISHMENT• Demonstrated PN junction on few-atomic layer thick MoSe2 field-effect transistors has high photovoltaic efficiency, which suggests that 2D materials can outperform Si solar cell.• Demonstrated the role of contact resistance effect on MoS2 Field effect transistors play important role to extract intrinsic career mobility. • Developed AFM based technique to apply local circular field on ferromagnetic nanostructures to study the Domain Wall dynamics.• Demonstrated proof of concept for Magnetic Random Access Memory (MRAM) magnetization state on ferromagnetic nanorings.• Developed Calorimetry based technique to measure thermal conductivity on aligned nanowires and nanotubes.• Demonstrated the concept for heat transport phenomena on Integrated Circuits geometry on aligned carbon nanotubes and nanowires.RESEARCH INTEREST• Micro-and nano-fabrication of novel materials and integration in to devices for potential application in electronics, optoelectronic, data storage, sensors and energy conversions. • Physical Properties of two-dimensional materials and their composites, photovoltaic applications, semiconductor physics.• Fabrication of ferromagnetic nanostructures and study of their electronic and Spin torque transfer (STT) properties for application in Data Storage, Sensors and Random Access Memory devices. • Fabrication and characterization of thermoelectric, heat transfer properties of novel nanostructured materials such as carbon nanotubes nanowires and polymer-nanocomposites, which can solve heat sink in electronic devices and thermoelectric power generation.

Currently I am working on the magnetic nanowires Domain Wall (DW) based devices to control motion of individual DWs along the nanowires by applied a local circular field based on AFM technique. The ultimate goal of this project is to develop DW based MRAM and Data storage device.
I also worked with undergraduate and graduate students and help them for their research thesis work. -

Nonlinear OPTICAL properties of Hydrogen Tetratolylporphyrin (H2TTP), Cobalt Tetratolylporphyrin (CoTTP) dispersed in PMMA (polymer) matrix. These materials show high 3rd order optical constants suitable for Electro-optics / optical switching applications.
