- Analyzes, evaluates, and prepares new Protection Settings as referred to the existing Philippine Grid System Scheme and/or Ultimate Scheme (500kV, 230kV, 138kV, 115kV, 69kV, 34.5kV, 22kV & 13.8kV).- Prepares necessary protection setting on existing relays installed on substations affected by on-going upgrading/new projects and customer related connection applications.- Protection review on submitted/provided protection settings from customers such as Power Plant (IPPs) and Distribution Utilities (DUs) to have proper protection setting coordination to the grid.- Ensures that the protection system of upcoming customer will be in compliance with protection philosophy and well-coordinated with Grid/Subgrid protection system.- Monitors the dynamic changes on Luzon Grid substation bus fault level magnitude and ensure protection system applicability.- Responds to customer request regarding fault level data under NGCP area of responsibility.- Reports on projected significant changes on Luzon Grid fault level data due to incoming new projects, substation upgrading, various customer connections.- Monitors and reports affected equipment rating particularly the installed power circuit breakers.- Confirms the applicability of the issued protection settings by testing said protection settings using secondary voltage and current test equipment.
