Production Technician for a Speciality Chemical Producer who's main markets were that of the Medical, Cosmetic,Electronic and Refrigeration Industries.Main duties included Control and Operation of the plant using a variety of Control applications to include DCS and SCADA as well as local instrumentation.First -Line Maintenance of plant equipment.Operating to High Quality Standards to include cGMP, ISO 9001 and 14001.

Control and operation of CIMAH Registered Polyurethane's Chemical plant in both batch and continuous operations.DCS ControlLiaison with various departments to ensure continuous operation. Issuing appropriate work/clearance permits. Involved in the maintenance of the plant equipment and updating of plant operational instructions/manuals. Acting supervisor particularly during plant overhauls. Working to tight environmental controls. I played an active roll in the planning and execution of the plant's decommissioning through to its CIMAH deregulation.

I was put on placements on various different types of plants around the site and gained a basic understanding of the various types of processes used within the Chemical Industry. I also under went various on and off site courses and attended Blackpool and The Fylde College on block and day release.
