As an artist and engineer, I investigate how people and processes work. In biomechanics, I described how ligaments and heart muscle work by by comparing magnetic resonance images to measure engineering stresses and strains. As a comic book artist and screenwriter, I also compare images on page and screen to write about how people work. I write to describe hope, joy, science, empathy, tragedy, and, most importantly, truth.
