Well informed in administrative, security and operational policy and guidance associated with the organization and the day to day operations. Maintains a community information program on health benefits and provide awareness of various health care resources available from TRICARE and Host Nation Hospitals in our area. Conducts monthly Newcomer’s Orientation and Spouse Orientation briefings to AREA IV Active Duty personnel and spouses. Responsible for performing duties related to the establishment, examination, and settlement of medical claims against the Federal Government and processes claims for eligible beneficiaries through the TRICARE fiscal intermediary. Examines all entries and supporting evidence to determine the validity of claims, whether payable based on entitlement, statue regulation or policy. Provided management with the needed insight on establishing and determining positions that were cost effective, supported career development, efficient and supported graded level to establish organizational structure and increase productivity.
