Serve as a senior cost analyst responsible for creating, developing, analyzing, and evaluating costs of major and non-major areas of Army acquisition and sustainment. Develop, modify, and validate cost and economic analyses in support of cost effective decision making. Utilize an extensive knowledge of, and working proficiency in, cost and economic analysis concepts, data analysis, and mathematical and statistical disciplinesPerforms task to include organizing, coordinating, and synthesizing the contributions of other analysts, functional areas, and organizations in addition to own investigative analysis. Interacts with DoD, DASA-CE, AMC, CECOM and other commands and agencies. Developing effective presentations of significant findings that reflect a high level of professional competence and are defendable against critical evaluation.Perform integrated analysis and cost estimating of Army programs, efforts, and activities as they relate to all phases of the Acquisition life. Possess expert knowledge of Army Cost Estimating Elements, Cost and Economic Analysis regulations, DoD Financial laws, regulations, and guidance, ensuring estimates are in full compliance with policyKnowledge of the principles, practices, and methods used to determine, estimate, and analyze costs, including determining life cycle costs, application of cost models, and evaluation of cost realism. Knowledge also of the principles, methods, and techniques of financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to interpret quantitative and qualitative data; includes data modeling, earned value management, and evaluating key financial indicators, trends, and historical data. Knowledge of the principles and methods for developing an integrated management plan that describes the business, technical, and support strategies, including the relationship between the acquisition phases, work efforts, and key program events
