I am responsible for writing press releases, pitching press about upcoming shows, coordinating with media to get coverage about the shows, coordinating for media to attend the shows and cover, provide media with all proper materials, interact with public and media at shows and day to day, keep track of all coverage the gallery is getting, measure results, configure ad value equivalents to coverage the gallery gets, maintain relationships with media, arrange special events at the gallery such as show openings and book signings, create reports of overall show coverage, maintain internal communication of gallery staff, contribute creative content to brainstorming meetings, manage social media for company, scan news for opportunities about our artists and celebrities, and arrange artist interviews.
