In addition to my duties as an Operations Assistant, the Field Support Coordinator position involves more direct support with J-1 participants, as well as ensuring the success of the Work Travel program for all parties (participant, employer, community, sponsor). Based near Cape Cod, my main responsibilities are to make sure students have access to safe and affordable housing and transportation. I work directly with host companies and community organizations to coordinate student support resources and cultural activities. I am the first point of contact for students when they arrive to the United States. I prepare pre-arrival checklists, offer guidance on employment questions, provide health insurance information, among other support tasks.

As an Operations Assistant, my main responsibilities involved validating host companies for the summer 2014 Work Travel season. I continued contact with employers throughout the summer by handling international student support issues. This support involved participant guidance and counseling on cultural customs in U.S. society and workforce, as well as organizing cultural activities, such as trips to a local county fair. My duties required knowledge of SalesForce, providing excellent customer service, and utilizing conflict resolution skills.
