I grew up in Springfield, Ohio, which, according to a 2014 Gallup poll, would later win the honor of being called "The Unhappiest City in America." Impressive, I know.I did not let the Springfield sadness get me down but instead found joy in the written word. I became an insatiable reader with a genuine love of writing. After high school, I attended bible college and recently earned a degree in theology. I spent many years as a church volunteer, camp counselor, youth leader, waitress, barista, bartender, stay-at-home-mom, ESL tutor, and freelance writer. Not all at the same time, though. I have my limits. I also have three sons, a cat named Cheese, and a husband whom I love dearly. I spend most of my time looking for where I left my phone, gaining weight, losing weight, gaining it back again, binge watching The Great British Baking Show and planning my next vacation.I have been lucky enough to travel and meet people from all over the world. I feel like this experience has shaped my world view and has made me a better writer.
