With experience in front- and back-end development, I’m hard working and eager to learn. I have programmed in JavaScript, Speedware Autobahn, and the Unix shell for work; for personal projects I’m expanding my knowledge of Python and C#. More important, however, is my ability to take program and data structure design, focus on readability while also valuing performance, and use whichever language is necessary to deliver robust solutions to complex problems. Not only do I enjoy delivering these solutions, but I also take ownership in presenting them to both general and technical audiences. 4 years of analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and supporting them with calculations performed in Excel and displayed graphically in PowerPoint honed my professional speaking. Drafting and editing 100-page reports with exacting attention to the detail of an experiment’s procedure, its results, and its explanation through fundamental theory have strengthened by technical writing. Now I demonstrate new program features and add to team documentation with ease.Strong communication is nothing without respect for teammates and customers. Late nights spent on call with vendors troubleshooting warehouse automation, late nights spent working with database administrators to resolve critical processing crashes, and long days spent working with clients to resolve webpage issues have taught me that being polite and empathetic resolves problems faster and increases team morale. Completing projects with dedication and an eagerness to learn has made me a better individual contributor; striving to aid teammates and customers with understanding and consideration has made me a better person to work with.
