I am an aspiring mechanical engineer with a passion for creating. To support my passion, I have founded a company, NIKOBOTICS, which manages crypto-mining assets, provides 3D printing services and goods, and tackles custom engineering design projects.My inspiration for engineering stems from competing in international robotics challenges. I have led teams to world championships in the FIRST Robotics Competition, a high school level robotics league that requires student teams to construct a 120 lb. robot in 6 weeks and compete head to head through remote operation and autonomous control. On an independent project, I earned a 4th place award for Robotics and Intelligent Machines at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2016). My research explored 3D printing of a humanoid robotic arm and programming it to sense and mimic human movements through a custom pressure and flex sensitive gauntlet I created with a flexible 3D printed filament. This project was additionally recognized with the Intel Excellence in Computer Science, Gold Medal in Robotics/Mechatronics, Best of Engineering, and Best of Fair awards at the Southwest Washington Science and Engineering Fair.My past has built experience with team building, idea generation, control electronics, software programming, sensor integration, CAD, manufacturing, 3D printing, meeting deadlines and budgets, working under pressure, and developing prototypes into functional electromechanical systems.
