Acting as a member of the RM team, under the overall Release Control team, the role involved identifying and managing the release scope in conjunction with the Product Service Manager and Project Manager. RM responsible for STP (Straight Through Processing) product domain which included managing releases to cash injection/withdrawal, derivatives, stock, stock lending and trader screen systems.

Reporting directly to the Head of Release Management, this role involved acting as lead point of contact for the release management function for UK & Europe and secondary point of contact for rest of world. The aim was to provide RM support for the roll out of a common platform tool across UBS, ServiceNow.

This position involved working as Deputy Release Manager for the European Systems Office for BTMU. I was responsible for championing and enforcing the release process as well as managing a team of release engineers. Activities included coordinating and managing release planning activities for a suite of close to 300 applications whilst taking into account internal and external resourcing factors. One particular project of interest was working with the Treasury and FX team within the bank to provide release management consultancy, helping them to better plan market reactive time critical releases.
