Assembly of high-throughput 454 sequences used in the Spruce genome project. Analyzed and assembled 96 BAC sequences in order to assess the complexity within the Spruce and Pine genomes. Helped to develop a SNP analysis pipeline. Installed and maintained software, servers and backup servers. Made multiple presentations at the Fundamentals of Genomics Workshop on introductory bioinformatics.

Research on COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) for GlaxoSmithKline. Job required analysis and documentation of patients' Lung CT-scans. Aided in implementing efficient data analysis and quality control measures to ensure accuracy for the project.
