Acos GmbH sits under the global tesa umbrella and produces protective labels for the automotive industry. The purpose of the placement, which was in my 3rd year of university, was to gain as much experience as possible working in a German company. I spent the first 6 months working as an assistant to the international key accounts team. My day-to-day role included processing orders and problem solving for all international deliveries as well as assisting in the development of the products. In the second part of my placement, I worked as a marketing assistant taking charge of projects such as writing product literature, dealing with international clients' requirements for different products and rate negotiation for new customers / products.As a final part of the placement, I produced a 5000 word dissertation in German on change management with recommendations on how our products could be marketed and project managed more effectively to the tesa companies across the world.
