Currently developing new tools for professionals for adapting effective psychosocial methods, I have 25 years of experience in interactional therapy methods for children and their parents and have worked as a Supervisor and Trainer with evidence based methods (Theraplay and Video Interaction Guidance) for 15 years. This sparked my interest in the effects of stress on a parent’s mentalizing capability and attunement to the child’s experience during the moment of separation. My doctoral research is currently Mentalization as a protective factor for child development during the transition phase from home care to early childhood education and care. I also have extensive experience in managing large projects in collaboration with skilled professionals and funders.
