I am primarily a public health professional with a passion for health communications. I have been working in the development sector for the last 11 years in Nepal. Most of my work and training in the last decade is centred around public health nutrition and strategic health communication. Meanwhile, I have not shied away from pursuing my other interests. I have worked part-time as an English newsreader & editor for Radio Nepal, the national broadcasting agency, for two years (2012-2014), given my interest in communication work. In 2014, I was awarded a full scholarship to study Master of Public Health at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Likewise, in 2017, I was awarded Nutrition in Emergencies short course scholarship 2017 by the University of Westminster, UK. In my current role, I support learning, knowledge management and communication work, which includes performing evidence synthesis, drafting and designing communications materials using adobe software, and contributing to learning pieces. Besides work, I write opinion pieces for newspapers and academic articles for national and international journals.
