Much of my career has been in the space and defense business. I am currently a Chief Solution Architect with SAIC, where I am working on new business development activities. My prior employment was with the Boeing Company where I worked on and managed domestic and foreign projects. Examples of a few projects on which I have worked include Space Station systems design and analysis, Space Station Environmental Systems design and analysis, Missile Defense Systems analysis, and Lunar/Mars Explorations Systems design and analysis, among other highly technical projects. I was also deeply involved in business development, strategy, and market analyses for specific technologies, including GN&C, advanced missile defense technologies, and advanced in-space propulsion and manufacturing. As a Fellow of the Boeing Company, I led and worked in cross-functional teams across various divisions of the company to solve complex problems. For instance, on the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program, I led major multi-disciplinary ground tests (e.g., Polarity Test and Full Motion Test) and based on rigorous analysis of test data, I was able to influence “go-no go” decisions on interceptor flight tests. I have published numerous journal and conference papers which focused on the multitude of technical problems on which I have significantly contributed. I continue to follow closely the technologies and business trends in the space and defense areas. To add to my diverse experience, I was a high school instructor in mathematics, engineering, and astronomy for 5 years. In teaching mathematics, I used my engineering knowledge and experience to bolster mathematical concepts instruction in the classroom with relevant tangible real world examples. Students learned to appreciate math and its importance in nearly every aspect of life and better retain concepts. I was a STEM Coordinator for the school, a role in which I involved students and faculty in creating a Monarch Butterfly Waystation to inculcate principles of conservation, species preservation, and responsible citizenry; I developed a Rocket Sciences after-school program to integrate math, physics, and chemistry; and I started bi-annual school-wide educational and fun STEM competitions. I earned the PMP and PMI-ACP professional certificates from the Project Management Institute and Scrum Master and Product Owner Professional certificates from the Scrum Alliance. I am currently working on a Professional Certificate in Data Sciences from Harvard University.
