Senior Process Development EngineerLevitech Bv Sep 2017 - Mar 2018Almere Stad Area, NetherlandsAs a Senior Process Development Engineer at Levitech BV, I was responsible for developing processes (Dryoxidation, wet oxidation) using Levitor and for the customer demos. In order to identify and evaluate problems that may present risk to personnel or equipment, I performed hazard and operability study for Levitor. I also investigated contamination and surface defects on the wafer.Beside that I was involved in the atomic layer deposition (ALD) of Al2O3 thin films using Levitrack spatial atomic layer deposition tool for solar photovoltaic industry. After deposition of Al2O3 films on silicon substrate I performed ellipsometry measurements on these films. I also investigated suitable precursor for the deposition of other materials using Levitrack spatial ALD. -
Postdoctoral ResearcherUniversity Of Amsterdam Feb 2015 - Sep 2017Amsterdam Area, Netherlands -
Postdoctoral ResearcherArcnl Feb 2015 - Sep 2017Amsterdam Area, NetherlandsAs a postdoctoral researcher at ARCNL, I worked towards broadband time resolved infrared spectroscopy of metal thin films. I designed and implemented an experimental setup for THz wave generation and detection using air. Using this setup, strong ultra-wide band (~30 THz) coherent infrared pulses are made using air plasma generation with two-colour femtsecond laser pulses. For the detection of these pulses, air-biased coherent detection is used. I also built an experimental setup for terahertz generation and detection using nonlinear crystals. Both these setups were used for studying excitation of metal thin films with high power laser pulses. -
Phd ResearcherDelft University Of Technology Oct 2010 - Jun 2015Delft Area, NetherlandsDuring my PhD, I worked in the area of Terahertz Optics. I designed and implemented experimental setups for the generation and detection of terahertz radiation (Far-field and near-field). The generated terahertz radiation was used for imaging and spectroscopy purposes. Using the terahertz near field imaging setup, I demonstrated direct measurement of magnetic near-field of metamaterial elements for the first time ever. Then using terahertz far field setup, I showed that there is a strong correlation between terahertz emission and magnetic domains for cobalt thin films. By showing emission from BiVO4/Au interfaces, I also proposed Terahertz generation through photo-Dember effect in a novel way. -
Master ThesisT.I.F.R. Dec 2009 - May 2010Mumbai Area, IndiaI did my master's thesis project at TIFR in the nano-optics and meso-scopic optics lab with Dr. Sushil Mujumdar. My master's thesis was setting up a near-field scanning optical microscope (NSOM). Goal was to set up a modified version of a commercially available near-field scanning optical microscope (NSOM), which uses a shear-force feedback technique to regulate probe/sample distance. A fibre probe is vibrated at its resonance frequency parallel to the sample surface and amplitude and phase of these oscillations are monitored. During the final approach (0–20 nm) due to the action of shear forces, the resonance frequency is shifted, leading to a decrease in the amplitude of the signal. -
Summer Research InternJawahar Lal Nehru University May 2009 - Jun 2009New Delhi Area, IndiaDuring summer 2009, I did internship in lab of Professor Subhasis Ghosh at Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU) , New Delhi. I fabricated Organic Field Effect Transistors (OFETs) using CuPc thin films and characterized them using I-V (current-voltage) measurements. By using SAM deposition technique and by varying deposition temperature we obtained OFETs with enhanced performance.

Summer Research InternIndian Institute Of Science May 2008 - Jun 2008Bengaluru Area, IndiaDuring the summer of 2008, I joined Dr. Joydeep Basu, IISc for my summer internship. During the project I prepared nanocomposites for studying exciton-plasmon interaction and characterized them using NSOM and absorption spectroscopy. -
Bachelor ThesisCochin University Of Science And Technology Jan 2008 - May 2008Cochin Area, IndiaDuring my bachelor thesis project I prepared zinc oxide nanoparticles using colloidal method and characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Absorption spectroscopy techniques. -
Project StudentCochin University Of Science And Technology Apr 2006 - Sep 2007Cochin Area, IndiaDuring this period I fabricated dye mixture doped polymer rods using PMMA and studied the energy transfer in dye mixture doped polymer rods.
