Nisha provides critical analytical support at the nexus of equitable economic development and community empowerment. She works across various HR&A practice areas, including Inclusive Cities, Economic Development, and Climate. In her recent projects, she focuses on:- co-designing innovative solutions to address economic disparity, including access to grocery and small business assistance- spearheading co-governance strategies for newly elected progressive leaders- building resilience in local government crisis response, from displacement to climate disasters.Nisha recently presented her thesis, “Planning Equitable Cities for the 21st Century: A Multiscalar Analysis of Urban Refugee Integration in Beirut and Istanbul,” at the Syrian Urban Research Project’s annual workshop. Prior to joining HR&A’s Dallas office, Nisha interned at the Center on Global Cities in Chicago, where she gained experience in large-scale community development projects while supporting We Will Chicago, the City’s first citywide plan in over 50 years. Additionally, she spent time in Berlin, Germany studying multicultural urban planning. Nisha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Relations with Honors from Claremont McKenna College (CMC).
