As a Programme Associate at CEEW, I have developed the carbon markets team which includes work on compliance and voluntary carbon markets. I created the first-ever stakeholder group to socialize the concept of compliance carbon markets in India. I worked with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency in their project to transition from the existing PAT scheme to an ETS on operational issues like integration of VCM and ETS and linkages with the international market. I facilitated a knowledge exchange session between Korean ETS experts and the BEE to understand the evolution of TMS into K-ETS. Additionally, I was selected as a part of a cohort comprising government delegates of Asian countries for a study tour of Korean ETS in Seoul, South Korea organized by ASPI. I led ETS simulation workshops across three cities in India – Delhi, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad for 200+ participants capacity building amongst key stakeholders. I am also a lead author of the issue brief, titled “Understanding Carbon Markets: Prospects for India and stakeholder perspectives”.

As a Policy Research Fellow at DARC, I was in charge of the climate adaptation project, Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinics (AAMC), responsible for the smooth functioning of 500+ AAMCs in terms of logistics and coordination with different government departments. As a researcher in the Dialogue and Development Commission, I strategized successful campaigns for the Delhi government, including the EV campaign and ‘Yuddh Pradushan ke Viruddh’. I teamed up with local activists on research and created a brief for the Chief Minister of Delhi on ongoing environmental issues, namely the deforestation issue and the controversial coal project. I designed a ‘Green Manifesto’ for Aam Aadmi Party for the upcoming Goa election. Moreover, I worked with the Department of Health Ministry on COVID – 19 relief for children.
