I am an experienced professional with a passion for sustainability and climate action. As a Programme Associate at the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), Asia's leading think-tank, I am developing the carbon markets team and working on compliance and voluntary carbon markets. I have created the first-ever stakeholder group to socialise the concept of compliance carbon markets in India and worked closely with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency on their project to transition from the existing PAT scheme to an ETS. I have also facilitated a knowledge exchange session between Korean ETS experts and the BEE to understand the evolution of TMS into K-ETS.Previously, as a Policy Research Fellow at DARC, I was responsible for the Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinics (AAMC), and played a key role in strategizing successful campaigns for the Delhi government including the EV campaign and 'Yuddh Pradushan ke Viruddh'. I also designed a 'Green Manifesto' for Aam Aadmi Party for the upcoming Goa election.In addition to my policy and research experience, I have also worked as a Project Manager at the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute, managing a project aimed at making Edinburgh net zero by 2030 in collaboration with Edinburgh City Council. I have also worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Edinburgh, teaching Carbon Economics to Masters in Carbon Management students.Prior to my policy and research experience, I co-founded Adhya Crafts, a social enterprise in the development sector working towards the revival of traditional Indian art forms. As CEO, I successfully set up a manufacturing unit that produced over 10,000 products worth over USD 280,000 and co-founded an NGO that successfully trained 100+ rural artisans in contemporary designs and products.I hold an MBA from one of India's most prestigious B - Schools, the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. I went on to do my second master's, MSc Carbon Management from the University of Edinburgh where I learnt the various nuances and concepts of climate change and carbon pricing. I have a diverse set of experiences which makes my profile different from my peers.I am passionate about climate action specifically carbon markets and am constantly looking for opportunities to make an impact!

I created the first-ever stakeholder group to socialize the concept of compliance carbon markets in India. I worked with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency in their project to transition from the existing PAT scheme to an ETS on operational issues like integration of VCM and ETS and linkages with the international market. I facilitated a knowledge exchange session between Korean ETS experts and the BEE to understand the evolution of TMS into K-ETS. Additionally, I was selected as a part of a cohort comprising government delegates of Asian countries for a study tour of Korean ETS in Seoul, South Korea organized by ASPI. I led ETS simulation workshops across three cities in India – Delhi, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad for 200+ participants capacity building amongst key stakeholders. I am also a lead author of the issue brief, titled “Understanding Carbon Markets: Prospects for India and stakeholder perspectives”. -
