Worked as a Project Manager for advisory services on Energy Portfolio Management for one of the biggest Utility in India having peak power demand of around 27000 MW i.e. Uttar Pradesh.Managed and Assist Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) in their Energy Portfolio Management, Power Purchase Cost Optimization, Demand Forecasting, Dispatch Optimization, Power Trading and Planning of Power Portfolio.

Energy Scheduling, Power Sales, PPA Management, Energy Accounting & Billing for SEPC's Tuticorin Thermal Power Project (1*525 MW) and Nagai Power Project (1*150 MW) under Long term, Medium Term & Short Term Contracts and all other operational and commercial related issues. Co-ordination with All concerned RLDC’s and SLDC’s for all scheduling and commercial related issues like getting NOC/Approval from them for supply of power under short term, medium term & Long term.

Involved in Power Trading and Power Scheduling of Jindal India Thermal Power Limited (600*3), Angul (Odisha).My Responsibilities includes:Power Trading:Short term and Medium term power sales to industrial consumers and State Utilities as per CERC Guidelines & Regulations.Preparing Open Access applications and sending to SLDC/RLDC and also liaising with SLDC/RLDC regarding approval of open-access applications. Day ahead trading through Power Exchange (IEX/PXIL) as per CERC regulations.Coordination with various Traders (Manikaran, Tata, Global, IEX and PXIL) for sale of short term open access power to State Utilities and Industrial consumer.Sale of power in intraday session through different traders.Verification of REA and UI/DSM statements and preparing note on payments to RLDC for UI/DSM charges, STOA charges and other operating charges.Generating Daily, Weekly and monthly Reports of Generation, Line Export, Auxiliary consumption, Coal consumption and UI/DSM.Monitoring developments in transmission sector for corridor availability to ensure transaction viability. Power Scheduling:Power Scheduling and interfacing with SLDC / RLDC for sending schedules on time.Coordination with various agencies (RLDC/SLDC) for proper implementation of schedules as per Grid Codes.Ensuring correct billing as per the implemented schedules by SLDC / RLDC.Billing of all transactions as per the billing schedule, managing payments –clients (Bilateral / Power Exchange Participants) and energy bill settlement exactly in accordance with the terms of the contracts, and within the designated timelines. Monitoring of Frequency and Generation, ABT meter reading and calculation of UI for Reconciliation with WRPC data.Issuing daily load dispatch instructions to the plant including POC losses and Curtailment calculations during unit outages.Ensuring Payment Security Mechanism averting the payment risks and payment receipts.

Involved in Power Scheduling and Power Trading of KSK Mahanadi Power Company Limited (600*6) and Sai Wardha Power Limited (135*4).My Responsibilities includes:Power Scheduling:Power Scheduling and interfacing with SLDC / RLDC for sending schedules on time.Coordination with various agencies for proper implementation of schedules as per Grid Codes.Ensuring correct billing as per the implemented schedules by SLDC / RLDC.Monitoring of Frequency and Generation, ABT meter reading and calculation of UI for Reconciliation with WRPC data.Issuing daily load dispatch instructions to the plant including POC losses and Curtailment calculations during unit outages.Power Trading:Short term & Medium term power sale to captive consumers and State Utilities as per CERC Guidelines & Regulations.Day ahead trading through Power Exchange as per CERC regulations.Monitoring and analyze the Indian Electricity market and identify new trading opportunities as and when they arise.Identifying potential buyer on continuous basis.Verification of REA (Regional Energy Accounting) and UI (Unscheduled Interchange) statements and preparing note on payments to RLDC for UI charges, STOA charges and other Operation charges.Booking of transmission corridor under Short term open access and Medium term open accessForecasting of electricity prices with available open sources information like CEA, CERC, RLDC, SLDC etc.Generating Daily, Weekly and monthly Reports of Generation, Line Export, Auxiliary consumption, Coal consumption and UI.

Project Title: “ENERGY METERING AND ENERGY SETTLEMENT SYSTEM”Description: This project has been undertaken to carry out the Behavioral study of power system operation through energy metering and settlement system. This project report represents the complete process of data collection from the different feeders, data validation, energy accounting and billing. This report also shows the analysis of scheduled Vs actual energy generated and energy drawl by different entities.The scope of the project is to introduce changes in the existing UI mechanism so that Grid could function more efficiently.
