Dr Nitin Kumar graduated from Pune in 2003 and went to the United Kingdom to pursue further training in field of Medicine and Cardiology. He completed his specialisation in General Medicine by achieving Membership of Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) of UK from Royal College of Physicians, London in 2008. After spending period of time working as Clinical, Teaching and Research Associate at Newcastle University , UK and at The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesborough, UK , he completed his Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education from Newcastle University, UK leading to Fellowship of Higher Education Authority (FHEA) of UK in 2010. He then entered the super-speciality training program in Cardiology at the Bristol Heart Institute in 2011 and then super subspecialised in Intervention Cardiology achieving his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2015.He has been extensively trained in General Medicine and Cardiology at various elite tertiary cardiac centres in the UK with particular interest in Interventional Cardiology. He specialises in Trans-radial angiograms and angioplasties and has experience of complex interventions in patients with severely impaired renal functions or advanced kidney disease. He has considerable experience in use of adjunct coronary tools like Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Pressure wire studies (FFR) and Rotablation.He has rich experience of over 15 years and this includes international experience working in India for about 3 years as Consultant Intervention Cardiologist in New Delhi.
