To lead a team in delivering an integrated data solution in alignment with the overall enterprise information technology architecture and in the context of the organisational strategy ensuring the delivery of integrated and insightful data for managing both risk and compliance of the bank and its clients. Manage data products end to end in a large, multi-dimensional corporate environment. This must include understanding in data architecture and data governance. Design, build and implement an integrated road map for risk and compliance data management to ensure that the organisation effectively manages client and Group risk, and meeting regulatory reporting standards by providing an overarching view across all existing risk domains such compliance, internal audit, operational risk and fraud using the same core data. Provide strategic direction and leadership to the feature teams one of which is focused on the technical build related to the strategic data integration project and the other on maintaining and enhancing the existing data solutions ensuring alignment to the universal standards and information technology toolbox. This role is situated at the heart of Data Services where the requirement for delivery of data structures that are usable by the centre office (South Africa) and the rest of Africa regions is a key requirement. The role collaborates key corporate functions with IT and facilitates the execution of business requirements into physical data structures, data processing and analytics. As a more technically focused role the requirements are for a strong understanding and implementation of data marts, data warehouse, multi-dimensional, operational data store and relevant data process flows. Within this role lies the execution of Data Services strategy, tactics, standards and governance across data assets of the bank within which the foundation of all usable data, information, business intelligence and data processes follow on. The role supports business partner roles in understanding data as elicited and defined by the strategic goals, forming a partnership of delivery and translation of business requirements into actionable data solutions.
