Managed and guided other resident assistants in developing welcoming and inclusive communities within the first year area

Undergraduate resident assistant responsible for the care and mentoring of new Trinity students; also developed engaging and informative displays, met with residents on a monthly basis, and fostered an inclusive community.

Peer tutor for 80 students, which entailed attending class for 3 hours and holding office hours for 5 hours each week while working alongside a professor to create an environment in which students felt welcome and comfortable to learn organic chemistry. I also provided instruction to small groups of students in a specialized environment during office hours.

Worked in colaboration with Dr. Kristina Trevino from Trinity University and Dr. Paul Walter from St. Edward's University to prepare ozonesondes and launch weather balloons to sample, characterize, and explain ozone and meteorological features in the boundary layer, the lower free troposphere (LFT), and the upper troposphere/lower stratosphere (UTLS). This involved preparing and calibrating the ozonesondes, as well as launching the weather balloons and monitoring their flight paths.

Laboratory teaching assistant for 18 chemistry students, which included assisting students in collecting and analyzing data and preparing laboratory experiments.

As a peer tutor for the first year experience (FYE-1600) course, Myth and Literature in the Ancient Greek and Roman World, I assisted students in understanding the content of various classical works, such as the Iliad and Aeneid. I also held weekly office hours to help students refine their writing and comprehension of the source material. I gave multiple presentations throughout the year on material from the Oresetia to the class, as well as collaborated with the instructor to plan the course content.
