Footwear Unlimited, Inc. is a privately held company that designs, manufactures, imports, and distributes women’s branded footwear to major department stores and shoe stores throughout the United States and Canada. The Company maintains a WFOE in China that supports product development and quality control. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, oversight of all accounting and credit functions; preparation of annual budget, monthly financial statements, working with external auditors to complete the year-end audit, financial statements and tax returns; monitor cash/loan balances; work with owners’ accountant to prepare for quarterly estimated taxes; prepare distributions for taxes and earnings; prepare quarterly tax returns as required for sales and other taxes; oversee compliance with CBP C-TPAT program; work with insurance brokers, outside legal counsel, 401(k) administrator and investment advisor; perform function of Human Resource Department; work with foreign office to prepare monthly financial statements and review year-end audit and tax reports for China. - Established WFOE in China to replace existing Representative Office- Established membership in US Customs C-TPAT program in 2002- Reduced size of accounting department by 67% and credit department by 50% - Oversaw 27,000 sf addition to warehouse, as well as 100% renovation of over 15,000 sf of office space in two (2) separate renovations

Responsible for the day-to-day operations and supervision of the Accounting Department. Work closely with owners and top management to set and achieve financial goals and to report to owners and mortgage lenders on a monthly/quarterly basis the results of financial operations. Prepare all year-end audit schedules for the auditors. Planned and implemented technology upgrades in the telecommunications and computer networks. Provide oversight and reporting/accounting for several related management companies for the owners. - Was part of the team that oversaw the expansion of original building to include 70 new apartments- Worked with HUD during inspections and loan draws on this $16 million addition

Responsibilities in the Management Consulting Department include performing business valuations, preparation of financial forecasts and projections, conducting operational reviews, assisting with legal support engagements including calculation of lost profits and other types of damages, building computer models for client use.Responsibilities in the Audit Department include preparing working papers for compilation, review and audit engagements, preparing financial statements, preparing corporate, partnership and individual tax returns, and supervising and reviewing work performed by other staff.
