Install, Terminate Cat.6/Cat.6A and Fiber Optic Trunk cabling (Terminating and “plug and play”).• Test, Certify cables with the use of Telecommunication test equipment specialty: Fluke Network testers, GreenLee Communications Fiber Optic Power Meter, etc.• Expertise in installation of servers, routers, switches, etc., and associated hardware, cable installation, and housing of equipment in cabinets with the assistance of others and/or mechanical lifts.• Work with the setup and working of a multi-platform environment that includes of all types of mainframe equipment (Z196 processors), DASD and vendors tape drives and tape silos.• Perform Data Center walk-through verifying alerts for PDUs and well as for any server with amber lights. • Understand power requirements and connectivity of equipment via FICON directors, ESCON, Fiber, bus, and tag.• Upgrades to Open Systems and Mainframe Structured Cabling and its implementation.• Management and tracking of assets using RFID. • Work closely with Engineering and implementation groups regarding the successful implementation of infrastructure equipment.• Work with technical consulting roles and working with business clients.• Produce a Project Wrap-Up report detailing results of work performed under a Task Order.
