I am a passionate leader and strive to facilitate employee engagement, which in turn generates efficiency and quality. I am skilled in coordinating data-driven quality improvement with Lean and Six Sigma strategies. My proudest accomplishment was as the Hospice Volunteer Coordinator, where I began without anyactive volunteers. I researched and improved policies and training materials, then I recruited, onboarded, and trained 11 volunteers while adhering to COVID-19 precautions. The program met or exceeded Medicare's requirements nearly every month going forward. My focus in this role was retaining volunteers by understanding what was important to them and providing support for them toaccomplish their goals. As the Business Office Manager, I managed insurance benefits, weekly Medicaid billing, and A/R agedbalances. In this role, I analyzed trends of denied insurance claims and successfully implementedstrategies to maximize reimbursements. As the Hospice Office Manager, I ensured compliance with Medicare and HIPAA regulations byconducting regular audits. As the Quality and Process Improvement (QAPI) manager, I collected datarelated to goals established by our interdisciplinary team and created quarterly reports to evaluateprogress. I am competent in using data to identify opportunities for growth, and in implementingstrategies for improvement. I fell in love with Arizona the day I started at ASU in 2013, and I am eager to contribute my passion and experience to serving our community.
