My passion for web development stems from my love of retro gaming. The idea that got me into coding was creating a top-down 2D RPG with Python and Pygame. While working on this game I developed a strong interest in web development, JavaScript, and programming in general.I'm currently employed as a Front-End Developer at a marketing agency, where I work with a small team of developers to maintain and extend multiple client sites. We use Craft CMS and Twig templating language, allowing the marketing team and clients to easily update content while we focus on creating high-quality custom pages and features created by our design team. Working with a small team means everyone takes on more responsibility, so strong communication and collaboration are key. I've contributed to everything from building simple blog features to dynamic product pages with complex animations and transitions. While my main focus is on the front-end, I occasionally dip my toes into the back end by fixing and updating issues in our PHP files.In my free time, I like to stay up-to-date with the latest tech and I’ve built several web apps with React/Next.js, Astro, Node.js, TypeScript, and Payload CMS. These projects help me keep my skills sharp and explore stacks beyond what we use at work. My love for learning new things keeps me engaged in the field and excited for next year when they release a new Javascript framework!
