Acquisition - Long Term Contracting Branch Chief - Strategic Acquistions Programs Directorate
CurrentAs a Branch Chief, my duties consist of the following:•Direct, plan and organize the acquisition functions which involve pre-award and post-award contract administration management processes.•Coordinate with integrated and supplier support teams, administrative, legal office and technical and support organizations.•Correlate program requirements to include: budget, manpower, training, materials, facilities, and services.•Manage major procurement programs and has oversight of subordinates professional acquisition training, certifications and contracting warrants are kept current.•Resolve complex and unprecedented situations and take measures to resolve critical areas.•Contracts awarded and administered are for major weapon systems, equipment, spare parts and assemblies and weapon systems.•Formulate and advise on long-term logistics and acquisition objectives and priorities.•Provide guidance to the leadership team to shape the organization's operational programs, policy, and direction.•Represent acquisition programs to top agency management and other agency executives, high-level executives of DoD components, and the military services.•Execute decisions and ensure consistency of the interpretation and the implementation of procurement process policies and procedures.
