My name is Noah Erickson and I am a junior at the University of Minnesota, studying agricultural education. Growing up in west central Minnesota I spent a lot of time on my family’s crop farm, it was clear from the get-go that I had a passion for agriculture. As I entered high school it only made sense for me to join FFA which eventually led to me becoming a Minnesota state officer. While being involved in agriculture, I have met everyone from farmers to politicians, industry leaders to students, and so many more. Those people and my experiences led me to develop skills in relationship building, communications, and facilitation and expanded my agriculture knowledge. Most importantly my continued involvement in the agricultural community has continued to grow my passion for agriculture and agricultural education. Now, I am studying agricultural education with a minor in agricultural business at the University of Minnesota in the hopes of educating the next generation about agriculture. After graduation, I plan to take up a job where I can help those in agriculture or go into agriculture and broaden my skill set. Further down the road, I hope to continue educating while also continuing the tradition of my family’s farm and eventually full-time farming. Wherever the professional world takes me, I know I will bring passion and excitement to the workplace.
