As a diagnostic lead technician I intake on average over 2,000 samples a week and process leaf, root, and water samples from clients to detect and identify pathogens. As part of the clean plant program I ensure that the company’s genetic library is tested to identify any plant pathogens. I perform tissue culture for the clean plant program using aseptic techniques to verify that there will be no contamination. I also lead the callogenesis project and assist in any research and development projects that are in progress.
