I researched new business innovations in emerging technologies and recommended IT vendors and products that would assist in the functions of the Business Services division of a large international law firm. I reviewed the firm’s Information Technology contracts with wireless carriers to ensure that the agreements represented the firm’s best interests and follow all established laws, regulations, and guidelines. I assisted in the preparation of monthly budget reports for the firm's IT finance division, graphing out how the firm is meeting or exceeding its regular financial goals in that area. I also assisted with administrative tasks including the preparation of invoices and billing statements for the firm’s wireless devices.

I reviewed vendor Certificates of Insurance and Procurement Agreement Contracts to ensure that they met company standards and update documents due to shifts in policy or altered scope of work. I performed primary source research on people who have served as principal officers in the State Department and Chiefs of Mission abroad. I was responsible for searching through numerous archival databases to find primary sources which I then organized into a bibliographic list on an Excel Spreadsheet. This bibliographic collection will eventually be added onto the Historian's Office website to assist scholars in performing primary source research on State Department officials.

I raised awareness of U.S. foreign policy and provided information on U.S. foreign policy objectives for the Bates College campus. I liaised with various political clubs and departments around campus to encourage discussion of U.S. foreign policy. I also organized events on campus to inform students about U.S. foreign policy and to encourage discussion of foreign affairs in general.

I assisted in managing the collections of the U.S. Diplomacy Center by accessioning and noting location changes, condition, and providing descriptions of objects on the software program Mimsy XG. I also conducted research into the oral histories of foreign service officers connected to objects in order to better understand their historical context. I meticulously inspected over 5 boxes' worth of artifacts, including books, newspapers, photographs,memorabilia, and other miscellaneous items in order to ascertain whether or not they were suitable to keep in the museum's collections.

I oversaw three residential houses on the Bates College campus. I developed educational and social programs to build residential sense of community and I updated residents on extracurricular activities that were occurring on campus. I mediated disputes between residents and worked with Physical Plant and Bates Security to investigate and resolve incidents of dorm damage within my residences. I served as a liaison between College administrative offices and residence life Deans and the residents of my houses to help notify residents of College and residential policies.

I digitized audio cassette recordings of Edmund Muskie, ensuring that the recordings successfully transfer from the tape to the computer. I noted keywords present in each recording, as well as the recording's duration and quality. I labeled folders and made sure documents were located in acid free folders.

I developed educational and social programs to facilitate integration of first year students into the Bates Community. I also organized and managed first-year orientation exercises, and facilitated mediation between roommates. I was the primary point of contact for first year students to explore campus resources on issues ranging from planning their academic schedules to finding out which clubs to join to using the College's Career Development Center to search for jobs and internships.

I completed an internship as an assistant in an inventory done by the Maine State Museum of the furnishings and historical items in the Maine Governor's Mansion, known as the Blaine House. I was part of a team responsible for locating, photographing, and noting the condition of artifacts belonging to the Museum and the Blaine House.

I edited and created finding aids for text and photographic collections in the Society's research library. I refoldered these collections for archival storage. I also edited the Ring Index bibliography of famous Mainers for factual accuracy to be used in by scholars for research of prominent Mainers.

I assisted in the creation of an exhibit on Maine's role in the Civil War entitled "Maine Voices from the Civil War", which was opened in Summer 2013 at the Maine State Museum. I noted the condition of Civil War documents located in the Museum's archives and provided descriptions of the content of the documents. I also recommended which historical documents I thought would be useful in the creation of the exhibit.
