• Main responsibilities center around test operations and test stand upgrades/maintenance.• Learned to safely handle fuels, oxidizers, and other hazardous materials common in rocketry.• Planned and manufactured stainless steel lines on various parts of a test stand. • Designed mounts to attach load cells to a test stand.• Became familiar with high-speed cameras, instrumentation and wiring, P&ID’s, and got a high level view of general rocket and fuel injector design.

• Designed and manufactured fixtures to be used in manufacturing. • Created internal drawings based on customer drawings.• Updated and verified CAD models.• Estimated material costs for quoting.• Became familiar with welding processes and symbols.

• Designed and constructed vertical storage crates for large metal plates.• Organized the final assembly area as components arrived.• Inventoried several toolboxes and generated QR codes to implement a tool check out program.• Gained experience reading technical drawings and accessing them from Visual Manufacturing ERP software.• Assembled and cleaned furniture in a clean room.

At Aerodyn I was introduced to the aerospace industry. I got hands-on experience in the shop, learning the workflow of manufacturing and becoming familiar with the shop environment. My responsibilities included keeping the shop clean, cataloging tools, building maintenance, and helping with any odd jobs around the facility.
