I have developed many skills in past positions where I have worked. I have some experience in the medical field, working at a dental office. Not only was I taught important work skills, but I was also taught about the medical field firsthand. This experience in collaboration with a Health Economics class shaped the way I view the healthcare system in America. One of my favorite aspects about economics is its pure versatility. Not only have I used economics to analyze healthcare systems, but I’ve also used it to understand Urban planning and to analyze gender and race pay gaps. Not only am I a quick precise worker, but I'm also driven to reach the most efficient answer for all the variables at play. I am an economics student with a focus on economic policy as well as a minor in organizational leadership. A background in engineering, on top of my current interests, has helped me develop varying skills that work hand in hand with each other. Economics is something I'm passionate about because it's something that can be used to enact real change. This is why I'm so interested in a career in economics as well as public policy. I believe I can use my expertise to help others who don't have the power to fight their own battles.
