I am a musicologist and double bassist specializing in the study of post-war American music and performance. My research focuses on the intersection of music, literature, and media studies within SUNY Buffalo’s Creative Associates. As a performing double bassist, I have worked with The Rochester Philharmonic, South Bend Symphony, Traverse City Philharmonic, and the New Opera Works Festival through Cleveland Opera Theater. I teach on faculty at Interlochen Arts Camp as their double bass teaching fellow. I previously attended Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music and Baldwin Wallace University, studying double bass with Kurt Muroki and Charles Carleton. I am an active member of the Society for American Music, American Musicological Society, and the International Society of Bassists.
