I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from NCSU. While there I learned to design and write efficient and effective code at various levels of programming language, ranging from assembler to Java. I acquired experience with several different software tools. I am familiar with version control utilities including git and GitHub, as well as Jenkins, an automated continuous integration server. I have practiced using static analysis tools on my code including FindBugs, EclEmma, and PMD. I have used both integrated development environments like Eclipse and command line interfaces to write, compile, and test code. My experiences with programming are not limited to solo projects; I have had the opportunity to work on several group projects as well. I know how to communicate effectively with my teammates in order to complete projects in their entirety in a timely manner.Currently I am utilizing my experience in software engineering in the workplace while working as a mostly backend web developer doing custom Magento integrations. Through my education I have acquired the necessary skills to be not only a great software developer, but also a valuable group member, or even leader.
